I Will Never Pretend I am not Old!

I’ve often heard it said That getting old is only In our mind. Would you mind If I set the record  Straight? Aging is such a wonderful Miracle. Wisdom Waking Seeing joy Recognizing that  Aching that helps us appreciate The sunny mornings And the fire on those That are dewy and damp. Yes growing old is One of the great Joys of  Life. I will never pretend It does not exist! I am grateful.  b+ Thank you Dianne Tolley at  Life on the Ranch  for the inspiration!

So, what did you expect?

We bought an extended warranty for our dishwasher. Lucky us, I thought. because the warranty on the machine ran out in May. So being the wonderful most expensive best rated kind, of course it began acting up. It would only work on the super duper big 4 hour cycle.  I called the warranty company and woke a person up from their sleep to ask for help. It was 12 noon so a bit early I guess. I have no idea what they said because I couldn’t hear them and they mumbled for about 30 minutes as they took down all the information, numbers etc. In the end,  I leaned very close to my phone even though the sound was coming directly into my hearing aids and she may have said that someone would call me within 3 to 5 business days to set up an appointment…I hung up. We lived through the weekend and then waited all day Monday for a call. Only 4 more da...

The Mirror (50 words)

Gone are the days!

It is not easy being me…but then you already know that. I am almost 80, my husband is 83 but most importantly, I am trying to see the logic of actions at my age. For example, I am working out if I really need two big iMac computers. The ones I own now are 10 years old and have basically quit functioning in real sense. Most things are the same as a new computer BUT just extremely slow. For those of you that have been dealing with computers for many years there is an understanding that a Mac is not designed for adding memory in a tower so when you reach your max, you are just done and done. So what I am doing now is using an iPad Pro that my husband bought for me about 4 years ago. So far I have been able to keep updating and am even finding soft….no…apps that work better and better. I just installed a Blogger iPad app that seems to work pretty good. We will see. They want me to upgrade to the pro but we will see about that too. I probably will because I cannot publish unless I buy the a...
